PAULA FRIZBE

Tennessee artist Paula Frizbe says of her herself and her work:  "My goal in painting is a simple one...To see and paint the world around me from my unique perspective while maintaining and touching my viewers with a common experience."

Paula received her B.A. in Fine Art from David Lipscomb University and her Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University.   She has continued her studies with many renowned artists, including Everett Raymond Kinstler, Kevin MacPherson, and Matt Smith.  In addition to being a professional artist, she served University Adjunct Professor in the David Lipscomb Art Department (1996-2002) and as an Oil Painting Instructor at David Lipscomb from 2000-2002.  Since 1998, Paula and Dawn Whitelaw (another Brazier Gallery artist) have conducted the Frizlaw Oil Painting Workshops which have been quite successful and popular.

Paula belongs to a number of professional organizations: Cumberland Society of Painters, Alla Prima International, The Chestnut Group, and Oil Painters of America.  She has also participated in many group exhibitions as well as solo shows around the country.
