GICLEES

WHAT IS A GICLEE?

The word "giclee" (pronounced "jee-klay") is French for "to spray."  It is a printmaking process in which the original artwork is scanned into a digital imager which then transmits the information to special fine art printer.  This printer uses 6 to 8 inkjet pigment-based colors to spray the ink onto paper or canvas.  The results are amazingly accurate in color and detail, making giclees the highest quality of fine art reproduction.
