PEGGY KINGSBURY

A native Texan, Peggy Kingsbury's favorite subjects include still life, interiors, and plein air landscapes.  Her paintings are infused with light and vibrant color.

Kingsbury holds an associate's degree in fine art and is a member of the Art League of Houston, Oil Painters of America, Alla Prima International, and the Houston Civic Arts Association.  She has particiated in workshops taught by some of the country's finest painters, including to name a few, Ann Templeton, Ted Goerschner, Kevin Macpherson, Daniel Greene, Charles Slovek, and Kim English.  Kingsbury has exhibited her work in numerous shows in Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin, and France and been the recipient of many awards and honors.  Her paintings may be found in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and France.

Of her painting Kingsbury says: "My goal is to continue growing spiritually and in understanding what I feel about a subject/scene and how to interpret that with paint.  An artist speaks from personal experiences, knowledge, and beliefs and rarely gets to see the finished pieces.  The work is completed by the viewer's own intelligence and emotions."
