P. A. JONES

Arizona artist P.A. Jones has been painting since since she was five years old.  Born in Manhattan Beach, California, her career in graphic arts began first working for newspapers in the Los Angeles area and then with various advertising agencies. Life took her to a number of different cities, New Mexico (twice), and finally to Arizona where she currently lives and maintains her studio.

Of her painting, Jones says: "Being an artist is the ultimate way to live.  Creating art is the ultimate way to make a living.  Being surrounded by the city is often the inspiration, and motivation, to create a painting---a visual image into which I hope to bring a sense of escape, of being in a more perfect place.  There are so few of the truly quiet places left in our world, fewer still are free from man's imprint.  I would wish to provide a window to these places, a moment to contemplate Nature in her quiet moods, even when surrounded by the chaos of life."
